On my daily perusal through Gizmodo, I was enticed by the idea of Geotagging with the iPhone. Above are leaked screenshots - Engadget - showing both the Camera & Maps App asking to use it’s current location. Gizmodo made sure to note that the screenshots may have been easily made using the iPhone SDK - Free to Download.
I wanted to find out more about Geotagging, and what it’s benefits were, so of-course I checked Wikipedia:Geotagging can help users find a wide variety of location-specific information. For instance, one can find imagestaken near a given location by entering latitude and longitude coordinates into a Geotagging-enabled image search engine. Geotagging-enabled information services can also potentially be used to find location-based news, websites, or other resources.
